What Is Goat Funded Trader?
Goat Funded Trader (GFT) is a prop trading firm founded in 2023 and operating from Spain, incorporated in Hong Kong and Saint Lucia. It provides simulated funded accounts from $2,500 up to $400,000 across forex, indices, metals, commodities, crypto, and stocks — one of the broadest instrument sets in the CFD prop space. No personal capital is put at risk in the markets.
What sets GFT apart is its unusually low entry pricing, with challenges starting at $1, four evaluation models (1-Step, 2-Step, Instant Funding, and Blitz), and a unique Loyalty Program that adds a monthly salary for top-tier traders. With $20M+ in claimed payouts, five supported platforms, and a 100% profit split available via add-on, it is a firm built for traders who want maximum flexibility and asset class breadth at minimal upfront cost.
Evaluation Rules
GFT's flagship 2-Step challenge requires an 8% profit target in Phase 1 and a 6% target in Phase 2, with a minimum of 3 trading days per phase and no time limit. The 1-Step Express compresses this to a single 10% target. All programs use a static (balance-based) drawdown for the 2-Step, while the Blitz and Instant programs carry tighter or trailing rules. A 4% daily loss limit and a 10% maximum drawdown apply across most standard programs.
Three rules demand attention before trading GFT. First, Goat Guard: if your floating (unrealised) loss hits -2% at any moment, the account closes permanently on the second trigger — no warnings, no grace. Trade tight stops or accept this constraint. Second, the first two payouts are capped at 6% of the starting balance or $10,000, whichever is lower — on a $100K account that is $6,000 per payout, meaning profits above that figure are not paid out early. Third, profits from trades opened or closed within 2 minutes of a high-impact news event are capped at 1% of the initial balance. News trading is allowed, but the immediate window around events is restricted.
Account Sizes & Pricing
GFT offers one of the lowest entry price points in the industry. The Goat $1 try-out gives access to a $1,000 simulated account for just $1. Blitz challenges start at around $32 for a $2,500 account. Standard 2-Step fees range from $49 to $999 depending on account size. Challenge fees are typically refunded with the first profit withdrawal, making the evaluation effectively free for successful traders.
The table below reflects the flagship 2-Step challenge. A 100% profit split add-on and other upgrades are available at checkout for an additional fee. Discount codes are regularly available — check the GFT website or Discord community for current promotions.
| Account Size | Phase 1 Target | Phase 2 Target | Max Drawdown | Daily Limit |

Funded Account & Payouts
Once a trader passes the evaluation, the account enters the funded stage where the base profit split is 80%, upgradeable to 100% via the add-on purchased at checkout. The first two payouts are capped at 6% of the starting balance or $10,000, whichever is lower — after which the full split applies with no cap. Payouts are bi-weekly and processed within 48–72 hours, with some processed faster.
The Loyalty Program rewards long-term performance with four scaling levels. At Level 4 (GOAT Trader — reached after 6 months and 15 payouts), traders receive a 50% capital boost, a 95% split, a 4% drawdown increase, a free retry if the account fails, and a monthly salary of $300–$500 depending on account size. Scaling can reach up to $2,000,000 in total allocated capital.
Platforms & Instruments
GFT supports five platforms — MT5, cTrader, Match-Trader, TradeLocker, and Volumetrica. MT4 is no longer supported. Volumetrica is a notable inclusion for volume profile and order flow traders, making GFT one of the few prop firms catering to that style. Note that US traders are explicitly excluded from GFT's service. HFT strategies and Gold Arbitrage EAs are prohibited across all programs; standard EAs are permitted within the trading rules.

MarketGrid Verdict
Goat Funded Trader offers a genuinely distinctive proposition in 2026. The sub-$50 entry pricing, broadest instrument coverage in the CFD prop space, five platforms including Volumetrica, and a Loyalty Program that eventually pays traders a monthly salary are all features that stand out. For disciplined traders who can operate within its risk parameters, GFT is a serious option at a serious price point.
The rules that demand the most preparation are the Goat Guard -2% floating loss trigger, the first-payout cap, and the 2-minute news window restriction. None of these are dealbreakers — but each one has caught traders off-guard in the community. Read the full rulebook before your first trade, size to leave headroom above the -2% floating floor, and plan for two smaller initial payouts. Do that, and GFT's value proposition is hard to ignore.
