What Is Alpha Futures?

Alpha Futures is a futures-only prop firm and the sister brand of UK-based Alpha Capital Group. Traders pay a monthly subscription fee, pass a one-step evaluation under defined risk rules, and receive a funded Qualified account with real payouts. No personal capital is put at risk in the markets. Three evaluation plans — Standard, Zero, and Advanced — serve different trading profiles, with a clear pathway to live funded trading through Alpha Prime, the firm's London-based live capital arm.

What sets Alpha Futures apart from most competitors is its End-of-Day (EOD) trailing Maximum Loss Limit — a drawdown model that adjusts only at session close rather than intraday. This makes it structurally more forgiving than the intraday-trailing drawdowns used by firms like Topstep, Take Profit Trader, and TickTickTrader. Backed by a 4.9/5 Trustpilot rating across 3,600+ reviews and payouts processed within 48 business hours, Alpha Futures is one of the most credible futures prop firms operating in 2026.

Evaluation Rules

All three Alpha Futures plans use a one-step evaluation. Traders must hit a profit target, respect a Daily Loss Guard (on applicable plans), and not breach the Maximum Loss Limit (MLL). Standard and Advanced require a minimum of 2 trading days; the Zero plan has no minimum and can theoretically be passed in a single session. There is no hard evaluation expiry on Standard or Advanced, and no activation fee on Zero.

⚠ Critical: The 40% Consistency Rule & MLL Interaction with Withdrawals

Two rules combine to catch more funded Alpha Futures traders than anything else. First, the 40% consistency rule on Standard and Zero Qualified accounts means no single day's profit may represent 40% or more of your total net profit since the last payout — a monster day does not breach the account, but it locks the payout button until you dilute that day's percentage by building more profit across additional sessions. Second, every withdrawal reduces your Maximum Loss Limit floor, meaning a trader who withdraws aggressively after a strong run can find themselves with very little buffer heading into the next drawdown. The Advanced plan removes the consistency rule entirely — if you rely on asymmetric trades or event-driven plays, that plan exists for a reason.

Account Sizes & Pricing

Alpha Futures offers three account sizes — $50K, $100K, and $150K — across all three plans. Pricing starts from $79/month on Standard and scales to $419/month on Advanced 150K. The Zero plan carries no activation fee; Standard and Advanced charge a one-time $149 activation fee after passing. Discount codes are available and can reduce entry costs materially.

Standard is the most affordable starting point with a tiered profit split that climbs to 90% from the fifth payout onward. Zero removes the activation fee and provides a flat 90% split from day one, at the cost of lower early withdrawal caps. Advanced is the premium plan — higher monthly cost, tighter MLL at 3.5%, no consistency rule when funded, weekly payouts from day one, and no news restrictions at any stage.

Funded Account & Payouts

Once a trader passes and activates their Qualified account, payout schedules differ by plan. Standard accounts pay out bi-weekly (every 14 days). Zero and Advanced accounts qualify for weekly payouts once 5 winning days of at least $200 net profit each are recorded in the cycle. All payouts are advertised as processed within 48 business hours. The Advanced plan is the only one with no funded-stage consistency rule, making it the natural choice for traders whose edge is concentrated in fewer, larger trades.

Platforms & Instruments

Alpha Futures supports a broad range of trading platforms, giving traders flexibility in how they access markets. AlphaTicks is the firm's proprietary charting and trading interface. NinjaTrader, Quantower, and Tradovate are supported for traders who prefer established third-party platforms, and TradingView integration is available for those who use it for analysis and signal generation. Fully automated trading is prohibited — any automation must involve manual trade placement and oversight by the trader.

  • 4.9/5 Trustpilot across 3,600+ reviews — among the highest community trust ratings in the industry
  • Payouts processed within 48 business hours

Weaknesses
  • 40% consistency rule on Standard and Zero funded accounts — a single outsized day blocks payouts until diluted by further trading
  • Withdrawals reduce your MLL floor — aggressive payouts can shrink future risk buffer dangerously
  • Advanced plan charges a $149 activation fee and has a tighter 3.5% MLL — higher cost, less room for error
  • Zero plan has low early payout caps ($1,500 / $3,000 per request) until ~30 qualifying winning days are reached
  • Fully automated trading prohibited — semi-automated tools require manual oversight on every trade
  • Futures-only — no forex, CFDs, or crypto

MarketGrid Verdict

Alpha Futures is the standout choice for futures traders who want the most forgiving drawdown structure in the industry. The EOD trailing Maximum Loss Limit — which adjusts only at session close and locks once it reaches the starting balance — removes the most punishing aspect of intraday prop trading: the open-trade equity trap that catches traders at firms using real-time trailing drawdowns. For discretionary traders who hold positions through normal intraday volatility, this is a genuine structural advantage.

The three-plan structure rewards different trading styles. Standard suits consistent, steady traders; Zero lowers the barrier to funded status; Advanced is purpose-built for experienced traders who refuse to let a consistency rule cap their biggest days. The path to Alpha Prime live funding gives the firm a career dimension that most prop firms simply don't offer. Understand the 40% consistency rule and the MLL-withdrawal interaction fully before you start — respect those mechanics and Alpha Futures is one of the strongest futures prop firms available in 2026.
