FTMO

Considering FTMO? Start with the route, not the account size.

One evaluation, two evaluations, or no evaluation? FTMO’s CFD routes have different loss and consistency rules. Its Futures programmes are a separate choice. Start with the market you trade, then check what changes after you qualify.

Overview

FTMO

A shorter route does not automatically make a programme easier. On CFDs, 2-Step has a static overall loss limit; 1-Step uses an end-of-day trailing calculation. Futures Growth and Pro use dollar limits and subscriptions. Keep the market, account stage and exact configuration together when comparing.

Who this may suit

Worth examining if you prefer a fixed overall loss floor and can complete two evaluation stages.

Worth knowing before you pay

For longer holds, check the Swing configuration before ordering. Its leverage differs from Standard.

The overall loss limit is static. Daily limits reset at midnight CE(S)T; equity includes open positions and trading costs. Check the exact account rules and restrictions.

Summary only. Read the full plan rules before purchasing.

Frequently asked questions

Am I trading real or simulated funds?+

FTMO describes these services as simulated trading. An account size is not cash deposited into your own brokerage account.

What should I check before paying?+

Confirm your country is eligible, the exact account variant, allowed trading practices, the current fee and the reward conditions. Never assume that a summary covers every contract term.

Does passing automatically mean a payout?+

Passing an evaluation and qualifying for a reward are different steps. Read the current agreement and payout requirements for your specific route.

Is there a way to practise before paying?+

FTMO offers a CFD Free Trial. Use it to understand the environment; passing a trial is not a paid evaluation pass or reward approval.

Can I hold through the weekend?+

For CFDs, investigate 2-Step Swing and check its leverage and terms. Standard account restrictions can differ from evaluation. Futures routes require a daily close. Confirm Instant separately.

Programme rules checked

The current 1-Step consistency basis uses net profit for orders or merges from 12 October 2026. Older accounts follow the legacy wording.
